An Act to amend the Dangerous Substances (Asbestos) Amendment Act 2004 and the Dangerous Substances (Asbestos) Amendment Act 2005
The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:
Part 1Preliminary
Name of Act
This Act is the Dangerous Substances (Asbestos) Amendment Act 2005 (No 2).
Commencement
(1)This Act commences on the day after its notification day.
NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).
(2)To remove any doubt, the Legislation Act, section 79A (Commencement of amendment of uncommenced law) does not apply to the amendments made by this Act.
Part 2Dangerous Substances (Asbestos) Amendment Act 2004

This part amends the Dangerous Substances (Asbestos) Amendment Act 2004.

Explanatory note
Section 7 also inserted a schedule containing amendments. That schedule has commenced and the amendments made by it are unaffected by the omission of section 7 (see Legislation Act, s 86 (2)).
