Dangerous Goods (Storage and Handling) Amendment Regulations 2014
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Dangerous Goods (Storage and Handling) Regulations 2012 to permit duty holders to comply with a range of editions of the GHS.
2Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 52 of the Dangerous Goods Act 1985.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2014.
4Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Dangerous Goods (Storage and Handling) Regulations 2012[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
5Definitions
In regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations, in the definition of GHS—
(a)for "Harmonised" substitute "Harmonized"; and
(b)for "or Fourth" substitute ", Fourth revised edition or Fifth".
6Incorporation of references
For regulation 7(4) of the Principal Regulations substitute—
"(4)In complying with the GHS, a person may use the Third revised edition, the Fourth revised edition or the Fifth revised edition of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, but not a combination of these editions.".
