Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and Rail

Transport of Non-explosives) Amendment

Regulations (No. 2) 2014

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road and
Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Amendment Regulations
(No. 2) 2014.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Dangerous Goods Safety (Road
and Rail Transport of Non-explosives) Regulations 2007.

4.             Regulation 4 amended

In regulation 4 delete the definition of driver licence and insert:

driver licence means an Australian driver licence as defined in the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Act 2008 section 3(1);

5.             Regulation 215 amended

In regulation 215(4)(b) delete “Road Traffic Act 1974,” and
insert:

Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 5,

6.             Regulation 230 amended

(1) Delete regulation 230(1)(c) and insert:

(c)

in respect of which the person has been granted a vehicle licence under the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012 Part 2.

(2) In regulation 230(3) delete “licence for the road vehicle granted
under the Road Traffic Act 1974 Part III.” and insert:
vehicle licence granted under the Road Traffic (Vehicles)
Act 2012 Part 2 for the road vehicle.
