These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;
(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day on which the
Firearms Act 2024 section 440 comes into operation.
These regulations amend the
In regulation 3 in the definition of
firearm, as defined in the
Delete Schedule 4 clause 5 and insert:
A person may possess ammunition, ammunition propellant or black powder if authorised under the
Delete Schedule 5 clause 1(b) and insert:
(b) the person is authorised under the
Firearms Act 2024 to manufacture the ammunition; and
