Dangerous Goods (Fees) Regulations 1998

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Dangerous Goods Act 1998 .14 December 1998

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Dangerous Goods (Fees) Regulations 1998 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which the Dangerous Goods Act 1998 commences. 3InterpretationIn these regulations, unit means – (a) in the case of a solid, a tonne; or (b) in the case of a liquid or gas, a kilolitre. 4FeesThe fees set out in Schedule 1 are prescribed as the fees that are payable under the Dangerous Goods (General) Regulations 1998 in respect of the matters to which they respectively relate. 5RescissionThe Dangerous Goods (Fees) Regulations 1992 are rescinded. Regulation 3

PART 1Inspection fees

1. Loading or unloading Class 2.1 or Class 3 dangerous goods on or from a vessel by means of a pipeline –

(a) for the first 1 000 tonnes or part of that weight

(b) for each additional 1 000 tonnes or part of that weight

PART 2Fees in respect of permits, registrations, applications and licences

1. Permits and registrations –

(a) autogas installer’s registration fee

(b) issue or renewal of a shotfirer’s permit

(c) issue of a fireworks permit –

(i) for fireworks display in which only Type 2 fireworks are used

(ii) for fireworks display in which any Type 3 fireworks are used

2. Applications –

(a) approval of construction or operation of a pipeline

(b) approval of site and construction of depot or alteration of licensed depot –

3. Licences –

(a) transfer of any licence
