Regulations 2001

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Dangerous Goods (Explosives) Regulations 2000

to replace references to the chief mining inspector.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 52 of the Dangerous Goods Act 1985.

3. Updating of outdated references

In the Dangerous Goods (Explosives) Regulations

20001—

(a) in regulation 106—

(i)  the definition of "chief mining inspector" is revoked;

(ii)  insert the following definition— ' "Director of Mines" means the

Director of Mines employed under
section 90(1)(a) of the Mineral
Resources Development Act

1990;';

(b)

in regulation 122(1)(a)(ii), for "chief mining inspector" substitute "Director of Mines".
