An Ordinance to amend the Dangerous Goods Ordinance 1984

Short title

1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the Dangerous Goods (Amendment) Ordinance 1988.1

Schedule—Part 2

2.  The Schedule to the Dangerous Goods Ordinance19842 is amended—

(a)by inserting after item 57 in Part 2 the following items:

“57A Clause 128..............

Omit from paragraph (5) (a) ‘AS 1940, entitled ‘The SAA Flammable and Combustible Liquid Code”, substitute ‘AS 1940-1988, entitled ‘The Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids”.

57B Clause 129.................

(a)     Omit from subclause (1) ‘AS 1940’, substitute ‘AS 1940-1988’.

(b)     Omit subclause (2).

57C Clause 130.................

Omit.

57D Clause 131.................

Omit subclauses (1) to (15) (inclusive).”;

(b)by inserting after item 58 in Part 2 the following item:

“58A Clause 133.............. Omit ‘AS 1940’ (wherever occurring), substitute ‘AS 1940-1988’.”;

(c)by inserting before paragraph (a) in the third column of item 59 in Part 2 the following paragraph:

“(aa)    Omit from paragraph (1) (b) ‘section 9.8 and 9.9 of AS 1940’, substitute ‘Rules 9.10 and 9.11 of AS 1940-1988’.”;

(d)by inserting after item 59 in Part 2 the following items:

“59A Clause 138..............	Omit from paragraph 138 (1) (b) ‘section 8.7.8 of AS 1940’, substitute ‘Rule 8.7.8 of AS 1940-1988’.
59B Clause 141................	Omit ‘Rule 3.4.10 of AS 1940’, substitute ‘Rule 3.4.9 of AS 1940-1988’.”; and

(e)by inserting after item 77 in Part 2 the following item:

“77A Clause 288.............. Omit from subclause (2) ‘AS 1940, entitled ‘SAA Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code”, substitute ‘AS 1940-1988, entitled ‘The Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids”.”.
