DANGEROUS GOODS ACT 1975 - REGULATION

(Relating to notification of dangerous occurrences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Dangerous Goods Act 1975, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences when the Occupational Health and Safety (Notification of Accidents) Regulation 1990 commences.

Amendment

2. The Dangerous Goods Regulation 1978 is amended by inserting after clause 21 (4) the following subclause:

(5) Subclause (2) does not apply to a dangerous occurrence which has been notified under the Occupational Health and Safety (Notification of Accidents) Regulation 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Dangerous Goods Regulation 1978 to remove the requirement to notify a dangerous occurrence if there has been a notification of the same occurrence under the Occupational Health and Safety (Notification of Accidents) Regulation 1990.
