Dams Safety Act 1978—Proclamation New South Wales

GORDON SAMUELS, Governor I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 27 (1) of the Dams Safety Act 1978, do, by this my Proclamation, amend Schedule 1 (Prescribed dams) to that Act:

(a)

by inserting in Columns 1 and 2 of that Schedule, in alphabetical order of the names of dams:

Bagnalls Beach Road Detention Basin	Off-stream, Corlette, Port Stephens
Bulli Colliery Mine Dam	Slacky Creek, Bulli
Cadia Southern Tailings Dam	Rodds Creek, Cadia

Explanatory note

The Dams Safety Act 1978 permits the Dams Safety Committee to exercise certain powers in relation to dams that are listed in Schedule 1 to the Act (eg the issuing of notices requiring work to be done in relation to the safety of a dam). The object of this proclamation is to add certain dams to, and omit certain dams from, Schedule 1 to the Act.
