Dams Safety Act 1978—Proclamation
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to add to Schedule 1 to the Dams Safety Act 1978 certain dams that the Dams Safety Committee considers may present a safety hazard to life, property or the environment, and to omit from that Schedule those dams that the Committee considers no longer present such a hazard.
The Dams Safety Act 1978 enables the Committee to exercise certain powers in relation to dams listed in that Schedule (eg the issuing of notices requiring work to be done in relation to the safety of a dam).
