v

CHILD SUPPORT REGISTRAR

[2021] HCASL 3
S187/2020

  1. The Full Court of the Federal Court of Australia (Flick, Perry and Markovic JJ) dismissed an appeal by the applicant from orders made by the Federal Court of Australia (Robertson J) refusing an extension of time within which to bring proceedings under the Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977 (Cth) and refusing an application for discretionary relief under s 39B of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth) in relation to a decision by the respondent to register a registrable maintenance liability under the then Child Support (Registration and Collection) (Overseas-related Maintenance Obligations) Regulations 2000 (Cth).

  2. The applicant seeks special leave to appeal on a matter of practice and procedure involving the application of well-established principles.  There is no reason to doubt the correctness of the decision of the Full Court of the Federal Court.

  3. Pursuant to r 41.08.1 of the High Court Rules 2004 (Cth), we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application.
