Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Regulations2(Amendment)

WHEREAS sub-section 13 (2) of the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 1972 provides, among other things that, before making regulations prescribing a rate for the purposes of paragraph 7 (a) or 11 (a) of that Act, the Governor-General shall take into consideration any recommendation with respect to the rate made to the Minister by the Australian Dairy Research Committee:

NOW THEREFORE I, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and after taking into consideration the recommendation made with respect to each such rate to the Minister by the Australian Dairy Research Committee, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 1972.

Commencement

 1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1982.

Rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (a) of the Act

 2. Regulation 5 of the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Regulations is amended by omitting “0.8 cents” and substituting “1 cent”.

Rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 11 (a) of the Act

 3. Regulation 8 of the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Regulations is amended by omitting “20 cents” and substituting “25 cents”.
