REGULATIONS UNDER THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND PROMOTION LEVY ACT 1972*

WHEREAS, in pursuance of sub-section 13 (3) of the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 1972, the Australian Dairy Corporation has, after consultation with the Australian Dairy Fanners’ Federation, recommended to the Minister—

(a) that the rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (b) of that Act should be 6 cents per 100 litres of whole milk; and

(b) that the rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 11 (b) of that Act should be $1.50 per 100 kilograms of butter fat:

NOW THEREFORE I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking those recommendations into consideration, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 1972.

AMENDMENTS OF THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY RESEARCH AND PROMOTION LEVY REGULATIONS 

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1978.

 

* Notified in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette on 29 June 1978.

Rate prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (b) of the Act

2. Regulation 6 of the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Regulations is amended by omitting “ 1.9 cents ” and substituting “ 6 cents ”.
