An Act to amend
the Dairying Industry Research and
Promotion Levy Act 1972

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the
Senate and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as
follows:
Short
title, &c.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Amendment Act 1983.
(2) The Dairying Industry Research and Promotion Levy Act 19721is in this Act referred to as the
Principal Act.
Commencement
2. This Act shall come
into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

of levy
3. Section 7 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) “12 cents” and
substituting “24 cents”.
Exemptions
4. Section 9 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) “gallons” and
substituting “litres”.

5. Section 11 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) “$3” and substituting
“$6”.
