Dairy Produce Levy Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Dairy Produce Levy (No. 1) Act 1986.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1987.

Prescribed varieties of cheese

2. Regulation 3 of the Dairy Produce Levy Regulations is amended by omitting "the Schedule" and substituting "Schedule 1".

Rates of levy on dairy products

3.Regulation 6 of the Dairy Produce Levy Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

"6. For the purposes of section 10 of the Act, the rate of levy prescribed in respect of a period of 6 months commencing on the date specified in column 2 of Schedule 2 in an item in that Schedule is—

(a) in respect of butter—the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 3 of that Schedule in that item;

(b) in respect of butteroil—the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 4 of that Schedule in that item; and

(c) in respect of cheese—the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 5 of that Schedule in that item.

Schedule 1

4The Schedule to the Dairy Produce Levy Regulations is amended by omitting "SCHEDULE" and substituting "SCHEDULE 1".

5. The Dairy Produce Levy Regulations are amended by adding at the end the following Schedule:
