REGULATIONS UNDER THEDAIRY
PRODUCE EXPORT CONTROL
ACT 1924-1942 *

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the Dairy
Produce Export Control Act 1924-1942.

Amendments of
the Dairy Produce Export Control (Staff) Regulations.
Salaries of
Officers.
1. Regulation 5 of the Dairy Produce Export Control
(Staff) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (2.) at the
end thereof the following sub-regulations :—
“ (4.) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-regulations (1.) and
(2.) of this regulation, an officer who occupies an office specified in Table C
in the Schedule to these Regulations and is a member of an organization or a
returned soldier shall, on and from the first pay period commencing in May,
1947, be paid the minimum salary specified in that Table opposite to that
office, or, where a maximum salary is also so specified, such higher salary
(not exceeding the maximum salary) as the Board determines.
“ (5.) When, in any determination under the Arbitration (Public Service) Act 1920-1947, marginal increases have
been granted to officers or any class of officers in the Commonwealth Public
Service, the Board may, subject to this regulation, apply on and from the first
pay period commencing on or after the twenty-eighth day of August, 1947, such
marginal increases to the officers who are members of an organization or are
returned soldiers.
“
(6.) For the purpose of this regulation—
‘ organization ’ means
an organization registered under the Commonwealth
Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1904-1947 ;
‘ returned soldier ’ has
the same meaning as in the Commonwealth
Public Service Act 1922-1947.

2. After regulation 13
of the Dairy Produce Export Control (Staff) Regulations the following
regulation is inserted :—
Entertainment expenses.
“ 13A.—(1.) The Board may make available an amount not exceeding Two hundred
pounds in any one year for entertainment expenses incurred by officers of the
Board :
Provided that the Board may, with the approval of the Minister, make
available an amount exceeding Two hundred pounds in any one year.
(2.) The chairman may reimburse, from any amount so made available, any
officer who has incurred entertainment expenses.”.
3. The Schedule to the Dairy Produce Export Control (Staff) Regulations is
amended by adding at the end thereof the following table:—
