STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE DAIRY PRODUCE EXPORT CONTROL ACT 1924-1947.*

advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.
“3a. The Chairman of the Board shall receive a salary at the rate of Seven hundred and fifty pounds per annum.”
(2.) Sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1948.
“4.—(1.) The Chairman of the Board, and each member or deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such, shall receive a fee of Five pounds five shillings per day in respect of each day on which he attends meetings of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board.
(2.) A member of the Board, other than the Chairman, and a deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such, shall receive a fee of Three pounds three shillings per day in respect of each day on which he is engaged on such business of the Board as the Board determines:
Provided that a fee shall not be paid to any member or deputy of a member of the Board under this sub-regulation in respect of any day on which he attends a meeting of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board.”.

(2.) Any payment of fees to the Chairman of the Australian Dairy Produce Board in respect of services rendered on or after the first day of July, 1948, shall be adjusted in accordance with the rates prescribed by the Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations as amended by this regulation.
(3.) Any payment of fees to a member of the Australian Dairy Produce Board, or to the deputy of a member while acting as such, in respect of attendance at a meeting of the Board on or after the first day of July, 1948, shall be adjusted in accordance with the rate prescribed by the Dairy Produce Export Control (Fees and Expenses) Regulations as amended by this regulation.
“(1.) Where the attendance of a member at a meeting of the Board or of the Executive Committee of the Board or his engagement on such business of the Board as the Board determines necessitates his absence overnight from his usual place of residence, he shall receive a travelling allowance at the rate of Two pounds two shillings in respect of each day for which he is so absent.”.
(2.) Sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1948.
