s1 2 s5 Dairy Industry Amendment Standard (No. 1) No. 18, 2001 ˙ Short title 1. This standard may be cited as the Dairy Industry Amendment Standard (No. 1) 2001 . ˙ Standard amended 2. This standard amends the Dairy Industry Standard 1993 . ˙ Amendment of s 2 (Definitions) 3.(1) Section 2, definitions “Category C milk run” , “Category C type milk run” , “nonparticipating vendor” and “small commercial consumer” omit . (2) Section 2, definition “commercial vehicle” omit, insert— “commercialvehicle” means a vehicle used to deliver dairy produce to a wholesale or retail supplier.’. ˙ Amendment of s 6 (Carriage and storage of dairy produce intended for sale for human consumption) 4. Section 6(2)(d)— omit . ˙ Amendment of s 16 (Standards for a dairy) 5.(1) Section 16(2)(b), ‘self draining’— omit, insert ‘self-draining’. (2) Section 16(3)(a)(i)(B), ‘material’ omit, insert— ‘waterproof material’.
s6 3 s6 Dairy Industry Amendment Standard (No. 1) No. 18, 2001 (3) Section 16— insert— (3A) If timber is used in the walls or ceiling of a milk room, the timber must be completely covered with a waterproof material.’. (4) Section 16(7) and (8)— omit, insert— (7) A bulk milk tank must be located in a milk room unless— (a) for a tank with a top-opening lid—the closed lid stops dust from entering the tank; and (b) for a tank with an air vent—the air vent is insect-proof and stops moisture from entering the tank. (8) An external bulk milk tank must— (a) be on a self-draining concreted area; and (b) have its inlet and outlet pipe covered by a cap; and (c) if the tank has a top-opening lid—be covered by a roof.’. ˙ Amendment of s 19 (Standards for a commercial vehicle used to carry dairy produce) 6. Section 19(2)(e)— omit, insert— ‘(e) equipped with a refrigeration unit to keep the dairy produce at a temperature of not more than 5°C unless the vehicle is used to carry only ultra heat treated, sterilised or powdered dairy produce; and’.
