An Act to amend the Dairy Industry Act, 1915, for the
purpose of abolishing table margarine quotas and for
certain other purposes. [Assented to, 21st March, 1977.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Dairy Industry

(Amendment) Act, 1977".

2.      (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the

date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence on such day as may be appointed by the Governor in respect thereof and as may be notified by proclamation in the Gazette.

  1. (1) The Dairy Industry Act, 1915, is amended—

    (a) by omitting section 17;

(b) (i) by omitting section 22A (6) ;

(ii) by omitting section 22A (7) (b) ;

(iii) by omitting section 22A (9) .

(2)

(2) Where a table margarine license issued under section 22A of the Dairy Industry Act, 1915, is in force at the commencement of this section, the condition in the license specifying the maximum amount of table margarine which may be manufactured or prepared by the holder of the license during the currency of the license shall, as from that commencement, cease to apply in respect of the license.
