DAIRY INDUSTRY ACT 1979—REGULATION
(Relating to the calculation of milk prices)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Dairy Industry Act 1979, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement
1. This Regulation commences on 17th June 1994.
Amendments
2. The Dairy Industry (Pricing) Regulation 1984 is amended:
by omitting from Table l o f Schedule 1 the following matter:
Distribution/Processing adjustment fund 8.3012 and by inserting instead the following matter:
Prices rationalisation reserve 0.9795 Margin for agent companies (distribution) 7.3217 by omitting from Column 3 of the matter relating to the Publicity allowance in Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter “CPI—General” and by inserting instead the words “Average male earnings”;
Distribution/Processing adjustment fund and by inserting instead by omitting from Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter relating to the the following matter in Columns 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively: 1994—No. 229
Prices rationalisation Vehicles General Carting Tariff 0.0119
reserve 1972 Base Surcharge
Agent companies Distribution CPI—General 0.0491 (distribution)
Distribution General Carting Tariff 0.0402 1972 Base Surcharge
EXPLANATORY NOTE
The objects of this Regulation are:
| to replace the Distribution/Processing adjustment fund component of the base prices and margins (which are used to calculate milk prices) with 2 separate components, and to make consequential changes to Table 2 (Cost definition by industry sector) |
| to change the index applying in respect of the Publicity allowance sector in Table 2 from CPI—General to Average male earnings. |
This Regulation i s made under the Dairy Industry Act 1979, including sections
56 and 103 (the general regulation-making power).
