DAIRY INDUSTRY ACT 1979—REGULATION

(Relating to milk prices)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,

and in pursuance of the Dairy Industry Act 1979, has been pleased to

make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 2nd July, 1993,

Amendments

2. The Dairy Industry (Pricing) Regulation 1984 is amended:

(a)	by omitting from Table 1of Schedule 1 the matter “1.3600” and by inserting instead the matter “ 1.5 100”;
(b)	by omitting from Table 1 of Schedule 1the matter “20.3800” and by inserting instead the matter “20.2300”;
(c)	by omitting from the Notes to Table 1 of Schedule I the matter “0.0214” and by inserting instead the matter “0.0226”;
(d)	by omitting from the Notes to Table 1 of Schedule 1 the matter “0.5000” and by inserting instead the matter “0.6500”;
(e)	by omitting from Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter “0.0166” and by inserting instead the matter “0.0184”;
(f)	by omitting from Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter “0.1670” and by inserting instead the matter “0.1658”;
(g)	by omitting from Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter “0.0408” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter “0.0405”;

(h) by omitting from the Notes to Table 2 of Schedule I the matter “0.000261” and by inserting instead the matter “0.000276”;

(i)  by omitting from the Notes to Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter “0.006099” and by inserting instead the matter “0.007929”;

(j) by omitting from the Notes to Table 2 of Schedule 1 the matter relating to the Industry contingency reserve.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Dairy Industry (Pricing) Regulation

1984:

(a) to vary certain margins used to calculate milk prices, namely, margins relating to the Conference administration allowance and the contribution by dairy produce merchants; and

(b) to make other amendments as a consequence of those variations; and

(c) to omit incorrect matter relating to the Industry contingency reserve from a note in that Regulation.

This Regulation is made under the Dairy Industry Act 1979, including section

103 (the general regulation making power), and section 56.
