DAIRY INDUSTRY ACT 1979—REGULATION

(Relating to cream and cream products)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Dairy Industry Act 1979, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1 This Regulation commences on 22 April 1994.

Amendment

2. The Dairy Industry (Pricing) Regulation 1984 is amended:

(a)

byomittingfromclause3(1)thedefinitionsof“longlife cream” and “longlife extra light cream”;

(b) by omitting clause 4 (2) (a), (a2) and (a3).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Regulation removes references to cream and cream products from the Dairy Industry (Pricing) Regulation 1984 as a result of the omission of cream and cream products from the definition of milk in the Dairy Industry Act 1979.

This Regulation is made principally under section 56 (Prescribed provisions for

fixing prices) and section 103 (1) (w) (the general regulation-making power) of that
Act.
