An Act relating to Duties of
Customs.
[Assented to 31 October 1967]
BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent
Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of
Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Customs Tariff (No. 3) 1967.
(2.) The Customs
Tariffs 1966, as amended by the Customs
Tariff 1967 and by the Customs Tariff
(No. 2) 1967, is in this Act
referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) Section 1 of the Customs Tariff (No. 2)
1967 is amended by omitting sub-section (4.).
(4.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may
be cited as the Customs Tariff 1966–1967.
Commencement.
2.—(1.) Subject to this section, this Act shall come
into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(2.) Section 3 of this Act shall be deemed to have
come into operation on the second day of May, One thousand nine hundred and
sixty-seven.
(3.) Section 4 of this Act shall be deemed to have
come into operation on the eleventh day of May, One thousand nine hundred and
sixty-seven.
(4.) Section 5 of this Act shall be deemed to have
come into operation on the nineteenth day of May, One thousand nine hundred and
sixty-seven.
Amendments of Tariff
Schedules with effect from 2 May 1967.
3.—(1.) Part II. of the First Schedule to the
Principal Act is amended as set out in the First Schedule to this Act.
(2.) Part I. of the Second Schedule to the
Principal Act is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to this Act.
(3.) Part II of the Third Schedule to the Principal
Act is amended as set out in the Third Schedule to this Act.
(4.) Part IV. of the Third Schedule to the
Principal Act is amended as set out in the Fourth Schedule to this Act.
(5.) The Fourth Schedule to the Principal Act is
amended as set out in the Fifth Schedule to this Act.

4.—(1.) Part II. of the First Schedule to the
Principal Act, as amended by the last preceding section, is amended as set out
in the Sixth Schedule to this Act.
(2.) Part II. of the Second Schedule to the
Principal Act, as amended by the last preceding section, is amended as set out
in the Seventh Schedule to this Act.
(3.) Part IV. of the Second Schedule to the
Principal Act, as amended by the last preceding section, is amended as set out
in the Eighth Schedule to this Act.
(4.) Part V. of the Second Schedule to the
Principal Act, as amended by the last preceding section, is amended as set out
in the Ninth Schedule to this Act.
(5.) Part VI. of the Second Schedule to the

the Fourteenth Schedule to this Act.
(3.) Part II. of the Third Schedule to the Principal
Act, as amended by the last two preceding sections, is amended as set out in
the Fifteenth Schedule to this Act.
(4.) Part IV. of the Third Schedule to the Principal
