The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Customs Tariff Amendment Act (No. 3) 2000.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Subject to subsections (2), (3) and (4), this Act commences on the day on which it receives Royal Assent.

2. (2)

   Schedule 1 is taken to have commenced on 15 December 1999.

3. (3)

   Schedule 2 is taken to have commenced on 10 March 2000.

4. (4)

   Schedule 3 commences 7 days after the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.

3Schedule(s)

Subject to section 2, each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
