REGULATION UNDER THE “CUSTOMS ACT 1901.”

IS Excellency the Governor-General in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, by and with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Customs Act 1901, has been pleased to make the following Regulation, to take effect from the 1st day of January, 1903.

Customs Regulation.

In cases where it is clear on the face of the invoice and entry that duty has been overpaid, a refund of the duty paid in excess may be allowed, although the claim for such refund has not been made within the time limited by the Regulation relating to claims for refunds, rebates, or remissions of duty under section 163 of the Customs Act 1901, published in the Gazette on the 26th day of September, 1902.
