REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1920.

Fifth Amendment.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Customs Act 1901-1920, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Customs Regulations 1922.

(Statutory Rules 1922, No. 24, as amended to this date.)

After regulation 190a of the Customs Regulations 1922 the following regulation is inserted:—

Certain officers may carry firearms.

“190b. If the Comptroller-General considers it desirable that the officer occupying any position should carry firearms, he may give directions in writing that the officer occupying that position shall carry firearms, and thereupon, while such directions remain in force, any officer occupying that position and any officer acting for that officer shall be authorized to carry firearms.”
