REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1967.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901-1967.

Amendments of the Customs Regulations 

1. Regulation 23a of the Customs Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“ (c) a description of the goods;”;

(b) by omitting paragraph (g) of sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

“ (g)the quantity of the goods;”; and

(c) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3.) the words “ , in the presence of a witness ”.

2. Regulation 37 of the Customs Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

“ 37.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, an entry for home consumption under section 40a or section 68 of the Act shall be in accordance with Form 11.

“ (2.) Where warehoused goods have been entered for removal to a place specified in the entry in pursuance of paragraph (d)of sub-section (1.) of section 104 of the Act the entry for home consumption of the goods, where the goods are further entered for home consumption immediately upon arrival at that place, shall be in accordance with Form 30.”.

3. Regulation 104 of the Customs Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (2.) and (3.).

4. Regulations 148, 149, 150, 151 and 152 of the Customs Regulations are repealed.

5. The Schedule to the Customs Regulations is amended by omitting Forms 11 and 12 and inserting in their stead the following forms:—
