Customs Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Commencement

1. Regulation 3 shall be deemed to have taken effect from the commencement of section 6 of the Customs and Excise Amendment Act 1983.

Application for refund, rebate or remission of duty

2. Regulation 128 of the Customs Regulations is amended by inserting “, rebate” after “refund”.

3. After regulation 128b of the Customs Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Rate of rebate of duty in respect of diesel fuel

“128c. For the purposes of sub-section 164 (5) of the Act, the rate of rebate in respect of any diesel fuel is $0.07155 per litre.”.
