Customs Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 22 December 1983.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Customs Regulations.

Deposits by subscribers to Customs securities

3. Regulation 25 of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1aa) “section 216” and substituting “sub-section 38b (4)”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1a) “section 216” and substituting “sub-section 38b (4)”.

Schedule 1

4. Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from Form 45aa “Sections 42 and 216” and “section 216” and substituting “Sub-section 38b (4) and section 42” and “sub-section 38B (4)” respectively; and

(b) by omitting from the heading of Form 45a“SECTION 216” and substituting “SUB-SECTION 38b (4)”.
