Customs Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 July 1990.

Fees in respect of warehouse licences

2. Regulation 50 of the Customs Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (2c) (e).

Fees for transactions involving the movement of goods out of warehouses

3. Regulation 52 of the Customs Regulations is amended:

(a)by omitting from subregulation (1) “8.80” (wherever occurring) and substituting “9.30”; and

(b)by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation:

(S.R. 154/90)—Cat. No. 14/1.6.90

“(2) The fee in respect of a transaction referred to in sub-regulation (1) that takes place:

(a) during the period commencing on 1 April in a year and ending immediately before 1 July in that year, is payable on 1 August in that year;

(b) during the period commencing on 1 July in a year and ending immediately before 1 October in that year, is payable on 1 November in that year;

(c) during the period commencing on 1 October in a year and ending immediately before 1 January in the next succeeding year, is payable on 1 February in the next succeeding year; and

(d) during the period commencing on 1 January in a year and ending immediately before 1 April in that year, is payable on 1 May in that year.”.

Further amendments

4. The Customs Regulations are further amended as set out in the Schedule.
