PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of urgency, the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901 should come into immediate operation, and make the Regulations to come into operation forthwith as Provisional Regulations.

Customs Regulations.

Drawbacks of Duty.

Regulation No. 134 (1) of the Customs Regulations 1909 (Statutory Rules 1909, No. 126) is hereby amended by the deletion of “Condensed Milk . . . 7-20,” and the insertion of the following in lieu thereof:—

“Condensed Milk—when samples not submitted for analysis, 7-20ths.

“Condensed Milk—when samples submitted for analysis, 2-5ths.

(Provided that where the analysis shows a less proportion of sugar contents than 2-5ths, drawback shall only be allowed in respect of the actual sugar contents).”

Disputes as to Duty.

Regulation No. 131 and Form 54 of the Customs Regulations 1909 (Statutory Rules 1909, No. 126) are hereby repealed.
