Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Customs Act 1901.

 After regulation 4B of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prohibition of importation of goods from the Argentine Republic

“4C.

(1) The importation of goods into Australia from the Argentine Republic is prohibited.

“(2)

Sub-regulation (1) does not prohibit—

  • (a)

    the importation of goods that were exported from the Argentine Republic before 8 April 1982; or

  • (b)

    the importation of goods by, or for the purposes of delivery to, the purchaser of the goods under a contract of sale entered into before 8 April 1982.”.
