Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Commencement

1. Regulations 2 and 4 shall come into operation on 1 June 1987.

Importation of goods from Namibia or the Republic of South Africa

2. Regulation 4q of the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations is amended by inserting in subregulation (2) “Namibia or” after “Australia from”.

Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations is amended by omitting item 29.

Schedule 7a

4. Schedule 7a to the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations is amended:

(a) by inserting in the heading “NAMIBIA OR” after “FROM”; and

(b) by inserting in item 4 “Namibia or” after “currency in”.
