1Name

This is the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Amendment (Ozone-Depleting Substances and Synthetic Greenhouse Gases) Regulation 2014.

2Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3Authority

This instrument is made under the Customs Act 1901.

4Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956

1  Subregulation 5K(6)

Omit “paragraph 68(1)(d) of the Act applies”, substitute “the conditions in paragraph 13(6A)(b) or (c) of the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 are satisfied”.

2  Subregulation 5K(6) (note)

Repeal the note.

3  Subregulation 5K(7) (definition of ODS equipment)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

ODS equipment has the same meaning as in the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989.

4  Subregulation 5K(7) (definition of SGG equipment)

Repeal the definition, substitute:

SGG equipment has the same meaning as in the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989.
