REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1965.*

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901-1965.

Amendments of the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations 

First Schedule.

1. The First Schedule to the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting Item 1 and inserting in its stead the following items:—

“1

Cannabis, that is to say, the flowering or fruiting tops of a plant of the genus Cannabis, by whatever name those tops are called, from which the resin has not been extracted; leaves of a plant of the genus Cannabis; plants of the genus Cannabis; cannabis resin, that is to say, resin obtained from a plant of the genus Cannabis; preparations containing the flowering or fruiting tops or the leaves of, or resin obtained from, a plant of the genus Cannabis; an extract or tincture obtained from any part of a plant of the genus Cannabis

Diacetylmorphine (heroin), and its salts and preparations containing diacetylmorphine or any of its salts”;

(b) by omitting Item 6; and

(c) by omitting Item 7 and inserting in its stead the following item:—

“7 Ketobemidone and its salts and preparations containing ketobemidone or any of its salts”.

Second Schedule.

2.The Second Schedule to the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations is amended by omitting Part II. and inserting in its stead the following part:—
