Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Prohibition against export except with approval of Minister for Home Affairs and Environment

 1. Regulation 13A of the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations is amended—

  • (a)

    by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “Minister of State for Science and the Environment” and substituting “Minister of State for Home Affairs and Environment”; and

  • (b)

    by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “Minister of State for Science and the Environment” and substituting “Minister of State for Home Affairs and Environment”.

Twelfth Schedule

 2. The Twelfth Schedule to the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations is amended—

  • (a)

    by omitting from the heading to that Schedule “MINISTER OF STATE FOR SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT” and substituting “MINISTER OF STATE FOR HOME AFFAIRS AND ENVIRONMENT”; and

  • (b)

    by adding at the end thereof the following item:

    • “2

      Animals of the family Hydrophiidae; bones, flesh, oil and skin of animals of that family; goods manufactured wholly or partly from the bones, flesh, oil and skin of animals of that family”.
