Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:

 These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 8 (Exportation of goods specified in Schedule 6)

2.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services” (wherever occurring), substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

3.   Regulation 10 (Exportation of certain drugs)

3.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services” (wherever occurring), substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

4.   Regulation 10A (Licensed exporters)

4.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services” (wherever occurring), substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

5.   Regulation 10B (Conditions of licences under regulation 10A)

5.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services” (wherever occurring), substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

6.   Regulation 10E (Exercise of powers by Secretary, Comptroller or authorised person)

6.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services”, substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

7.   Regulation 10F (Review of decisions—exportation of certain drugs)

7.1   Omit “Department of Health, Housing and Community Services”, substitute “Department of Health, Housing, Local Government and Community Services”.

8. Schedule 8

(Drugs the exportation of which is prohibited if specified conditions, restrictions or requirements are not complied with)

8.1   Part 1:

After item 6, insert:

 “7 Alphacetylmethadol”.

8.2   Part 2 (item 7):

Omit “N,N-diethyltriptamine”, substitute “N,N-dimethyltryptamine”.

8.3   Part 3:

After item 27, insert:

 “27A safrole

 27B isosafrole

 27C piperonal

 27D 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl-2-propanone

 27E N-acetylanthranilic acid”.

8.4   Part 4 (item 4):

Omit “Camezepam”, substitute “Camazepam”.
