Customs (Prohibited Exports)  Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Customs (Prohibited Exports)  Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 13B (Export of goods specified in Schedule 13)

2.1   Subregulation 13B (1):

Omit the subregulation, substitute:

 “13B. (1) A reference in this regulation to an authorised person is a reference to:

  • (a)

    an officer or employee of the Department of Defence; or

  • (b)

    an Officer of Customs;

who is authorised in writing by the Minister for Defence to grant a permission or licence to export from Australia goods specified in Schedule 13.”.
