1Name of regulations

 These regulations are the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Amendment Regulations 1999 (No. 3).

2Commencement

 These regulations commence on gazettal.

3Amendment of Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations 1958

Schedule 1 amends the Customs (Prohibited Exports) Regulations 1958.

13DExportation of counterfeit credit, debit and charge cards

  • (1)

    The exportation from Australia of a counterfeit credit, debit or charge card is prohibited unless:

    • (a)

      a permission in writing to export the card has been given by the Minister; and

    • (b)

      the permission is produced to a Collector.

  • (2)

    A permission may specify:

    • (a)

      conditions or requirements to be complied with by the holder of the permission; and

    • (b)

      when the holder of the permission must comply with a condition or requirement, whether before or after the exportation of the card to which the permission relates.

  • (3)

    If the holder of a permission does not comply with a condition or requirement (if any) of the permission, the Minister may, by writing, revoke the permission.

  • (4)

    In this regulation:

Minister means the Minister administering the Australian Federal Police Act 1979.
