Customs (Narcotics Inquiries) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Customs (Narcotics Inquiries) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:  These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpreation Act 1901, s 48.]

2.   Schedule 1 (Warrant under subsection 219B (5) in relation to a particular person)

2.1 Omit “a Judge of the

 Court of ”, substitute “*a Judge of the Court of /*a nominated AAT member (within the meaning of the Customs Act 1901)”.

2.2   Omit “that Judge sees fit”, substitute “that *Judge/*nominated AAT member sees fit”.

2.3   Omit “Judge” (last occurring), substitute “*Judge /*nominated AAT member”.

3.   Schedule 1 (Warrant under subsection 219B (7) in relation to a particular premises)

3.1 Omit “a Judge of the

 Court of ”, substitute “*a Judge of the Court of /*a nominated AAT member (within the meaning of the Customs Act 1901)”.

3.2   Omit “that Judge sees fit”, substitute “that *Judge/*nominated AAT member sees fit”.

3.3   Omit “Judge” (last occurring), substitute “*Judge /*nominated AAT member”.
