REGULATIONS UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 19011

 

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

AMENDMENTS OF THE CUSTOMS (NARCOTIC SUBSTANCES) REGULATIONS2

 

1 Regulations 3 and 4 of the Customs (Narcotics Substances) Regulations are repealed and the following regulations substituted:

Declaration of narcotic substance

• “ 3.

  For the purposes of the definition of ‘narcotic substance’ in sub-section 4 (1) of the Act, each substance or thing the name of which is specified in column 1 of the Schedule is declared to be a narcotic substance.

Trafficable quantity of narcotic substance

• “ 4.

  For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘trafficable quantity’ in sub‑section 4 (1) of the Act, the quantity set out in column 2 of the Schedule opposite to the name of a substance or thing specified in column 1 of the Schedule is prescribed in relation to that substance or thing.”.

2The Schedule

 The Customs (Narcotic Substances) Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following Schedule:
