CUSTOMS BY-LAW.

I, CHARLES CAMERON KINGSTON, the Minister of State for the Commonwealth of Australia administering the Department of Trade and Customs, hereby make the following By-law.

Scientific Instruments and Apparatus for Use in Universities, Colleges, Schools, and Public Hospitals.

1. Scientific instruments and apparatus for use in Universities, Colleges, Schools, and Public Hospitals may be delivered free of duty if the entry of the goods is verified by a declaration according to the form hereto.

2. The declaration may be made—

(a) In the case of a University, by the Registrar;

(b) In the case of a College or School, by the Principal;

and

(c) In the case of a Public Hospital, by the Secretary.

The words Registrar, Principal, and Secretary include any person exercising similar functions in regard to the institution.

Declaration verifying entry of scientific instruments and apparatus for use in Universities, Colleges, Schools, and Public Hospitals :—
