An Act to impose for a limited time Additional

a n d by t h e au thor i ty of t he same as follows :—
1. On t h e impor ta t ion of any goods now liable to du ty except
t ea sugar b r a n d y and gin t he r e shal l be charged i n addi t ion to such
du ty twen ty pounds for every h u n d r e d pounds thereof and in pro
| por t ion for any lesser or grea te r a m o u n t of such | duty . |
2. Eve ry person who shal l on or before t h e pass ing of t h i s A c t
| have m a d e or en te red in to any con t rac t or ag reemen t | for | t h e | sale | or |
| delivery free of d u t y u p o n or a t any t i m e after such day of any | ar t ic le |
| w h e r e u p o n | any addi t ional du ty shall be payable u n d e r | t he | provisions |
| of th i s A c t shal l be a t | l iber ty to | add to t h e pr ice | con t rac ted for | so |
m u c h money as wil l be equivalent to t h e addi t ional d u t y which shall by reason of such provisions have been paid or made payable on such art icles and shal l be ent i t led by v i r tue of th i s A c t t o be paid t h e same accordingly by t h e purchase r of such ar t ic le and to sue for and recover t h e same aga ins t such pu rchase r Provided t h a t i t shall be a t t h e
