I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A and section 71K of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act), approve the attached “Visual Examination Application (B637 JUN/05)” form as an approved form for the purposes of making, by document, an application for permission to examine goods in the presence of an officer of Customs.
This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

Note: Customs Officers will only grant approval to examine goods. They will not endorse any particulars obtained as a result of the examination. Section 68 of the Customs Act 1901 places the responsibility on the owner to enter imported goods.
