I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under to section 4A and subsections 71AAAO(3), 71DA(4), 71DL(4) of the Customs Act 1901 and subregulation 128AAA(5) of the Customs Regulations 1926, approve the attached “REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION” as an approved statement for the purposes of communicating electronically a requirement for the delivery of documents or information in respect of:

a)    a self-assessed clearance declaration;

b)    an import declaration;

c)    a warehouse declaration; or

d) a refund, rebate or remission application made in respect an import declaration, warehouse declaration or self-assessed clearance declaration made under the amended Customs Act (as defined in section 4 of the Customs Legislation Amendment (Application of International Trade Modernisation and Other Measures) Act 2003).

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
