CUSTOMS ACT 1901

I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A and subsection 64ACB(6) of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act), hereby approve the attached “Electronic Reporting of Aircraft Crew - IFACT System” statement as the approved statement for the purpose of transmitting an electronic report on crew who will be on board an aircraft at the time of its arrival at an airport, using the International Flight Advance Crew Transfer (IFACT) system.

This statement is approved for use on and from 5 January 2003.

The identifier for the direction of the air service crossing the Australian border to specify whether it is arriving or departing.

Arrival/Departure Port

The location code for the first Australian port where the air service is arriving or the location code for the Australian port where the air service will cross the Australian border.

7.

Record Type

The identifier for specifying the record type as a crew detail record.

8.

Surname

The surname or family name of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border.

9.

1st Given Name

The first given name of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border.

10.

Other Given Name(s)

The other given name(s) of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border.

11.

Travel Document ID

The passport number or visa number of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border.

12.

Date of Birth

The date of birth of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border.

13.

Gender

The identifier for the gender of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border to specify whether they are male, female or undeclared.

14.

Country of Citizenship

The International Air Transport Association two character country code identifying the country of citizenship of a crew member on the air service crossing the Australian border

15.

Originator

The identifier for the originator of the crew detail record(s).

16.

Record type

The identifier for specifying the record type as a trailer record.

17.

Record Description

The description of the record type.

18.

Crew Count

A count of the number of crew detail records supplied.
