I, LIONEL BARRIE WOODWARD, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A and subsection 64AB(4) of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act), approve the attached “AIRCRAFT INWARDS CARGO REPORT” (FORM 8 (01/05)) as an approved form for the purposes of communicating to Customs a documentary cargo report in respect of cargo that is on board an aircraft and is intended to be unshipped at an airport in Australia.

Instrument of Approval No. 16 of 1991 is revoked.

This instrument commences on 13 January 2005.

AIRCRAFT INWARDS CARGO REPORT

We require this information under subsection 64AB(3) of the Customs Act 1901 in order to risk assess cargo that is intended to be discharged in Australia.  The information you give may be disclosed to the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) and the Department of Transport and Regional Services (DoTaRS).
