I, MICHAEL JOSEPH CARMODY, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, under section 4A and subsection 64AB(4B) of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act), approve the attached “CARGO REPORT (SEA)” as an approved statement for the purposes of communicating electronically particulars of:
a) all goods that a cargo reporter has arranged to be carried on a ship on a voyage and that are intended to be unloaded from the ship at a port in Australia (whether the first port or any subsequent port on the same voyage), other than goods that are accompanied personal or household effects of a passenger or member of the crew or ship’s stores; and
b) all goods that the cargo reporter has arranged to be carried on a ship and that are intended to be kept on board the ship for shipment to a place outside Australia, other than goods that are accompanied personal or household effects of a passenger or member of the crew or ship’s stores.
CEO Instrument of Approval No. 55 of 2005, dated 14 September 2005 is revoked.
This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

This field is not required if the cargo reporter is a special reporter and the goods are low value cargo (as defined in section 63A of the Customs Act 1901). | 48 | Reportable Documents Indicator | Indicate if the goods are: (a) any paper or other material on which there is writing; or (b) any paper or other material on which there are marks, figures, symbols or perforations having a meaning for persons qualified to interpret them; or (c) any paper or other material on which a photographic image or other image is recorded; or (d) any article or material from which sounds, images or writing is capable of being produced with or without the aid of a computer or of some other device; but not such paper, article or other material: (e) that comprises advertising material; or (f) that does not yet contain the sounds, images or writing for the carriage of which it was produced. | |||||||
| 49 | Shipper Owned Container Indicator | If the goods are being imported in a container – indicate whether the container is not owned or leased by a shipping company, but is owned by the importer of the cargo contained in it. | |||||||
