HERE AS by an Ordinance enacted by the Governor of South Preamble.

Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative

cil thereof, bearing date the Ninth day of October, One

sand Eight hundred and Forty-six, "To Consolidate and Amend

1846, NO, 16.

e Laws of the Customs in South Australia," it is amongst

ther things enacted as follows, that is to say :-

By Section 3--"That

from and after the commencement hereof, in section 3-

and instead of all other Duties of Customs (except the Export Duties.

I n which Schedule or Table of Dutieo, there are inserted, de scribed, and set forth in separate columns, discriminating Rate of Duty on Goods the produce or manufacture of or from Foreig Countries, and lower Rates of Duty on Goods the produce or ma nufacture of and from Great Britain or British Possessions:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that all discriminating Dutie

imposed on Foreign Goods should be repealed, and that tbe L)utic

on British and Foreign Goods should Le equalised:

AND WHEREAS by the said Ordinance it is further enacted:

follows, that is to say-

Ship in which any Goods have been Imported, they be such, or be so bc Warehoused for cx- portation only.

Imported, as that they may not be used in this Province, they shall

B, should be repealed, and that the said recited Ordinance should be in other respects amended.

AN D sa rr ENACTED,

that this Ordinmce shall commence Commencement.

the recited Ordinance shall continue until the Sixth day of January next, when the same shall cease and be no longer payable, and the

new Duties imposed by this Ordinance shall coinnlence and be
