1  Name of determination

This determination may be cited as the Currency (Royal Australian Mint) Amendment Determination (No. 2) 2016.

2  Commencement

This determination commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

This determination is made under the Currency Act 1965.

4  Schedule(s)

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Currency (Royal Australian Mint) Determination (No. 4) 2016

1  Schedule 1, Part 2, item 22 (paragraph (a) of the reverse design)

Omit paragraph, substitute:

(a)    a representation of the Australian Active Service Medal 1945-1975 military award, including the clasp and ribbon; and

2  Schedule 1, Part 2, item 22 (subparagraph (c)(ii) of the reverse design)

Omit subparagraph, substitute:

(ii)     “AUSTRALIAN ACTIVE SERVICE MEDAL 1945-1975”.

3  Schedule 1, Part 2, item 23 (subparagraph (c)(ii) of the reverse design)

Omit subparagraph, substitute:

(ii) “AOSM – GREATER MIDDLE EAST OPERATION”.

4  Schedule 1, Part 2, item 32 (subparagraph (a)(ii) of the reverse design)

Omit subparagraph, substitute:

(ii)     in the background, a stylised representation of a map of the world including the words “CHINA”, “SUMATRA”, “NEW GUIN”, “TIMOR SEA” and “AUSTRALIA”;
